Corel InfoCentral 7.0 is the original InfoCentral, and it's arguably much better than the current version (9.0). Its tabbed, object-oriented interface never caught the imagination of users, but if you're looking for a PIM which can manage all your information, both at home and work, you should give it a try -- it's free. Every item of information in InfoCentral is an object, and you can link objects to other objects. You can add and link Internet information as an object (e-mail addresses and URLs), as well as file objects (documents, programs etc), and open them from within InfoCentral. Your information eventually forms webs, and you'll find unexpected creative connections between items that will help you to use your information in new ways. As well as seeing your information in connected webs, you can view it in card file format. The calendar lets you see various appointments, notes and tasks which you've entered in other views in calendar format; you can also add information to the calendar itself. The program comes with 15 templates, designed to manage everything from your contacts to your cars, gardening and travel. The Help file is excellent, covering all areas of the program.
